Now that the matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots has been set for Super Bowl LIII, major companies have been releasing teasers for some of the ads viewers can expect during the game.
The major advertising storyline leading up to the game is Pepsi’s presence in Atlanta, home to Super Bowl LIII and Coca-Cola headquarters. Understanding the advertising opportunity, Pepsi has already released several outdoor advertisements poking fun at their rival.
In addition to the outdoor advertisements, Pepsi has also released several teasers as to what audiences can expect during the game. Short videos featuring Cardi B, Steve Carell, and Atlanta-based rapper Lil Jon have already been uploaded online ahead of the Super Bowl.
Aside from Pepsi, the Pepsi corporation (PepsiCo) will also be airing commercials featuring two other brands that they own: Doritos and Bubly sparkling water. On the field, you can also expect another Pepsi Corporation brand - Gatorade - to be featured heavily on the sidelines, due to PepsiCo’s NFL sponsorship. Using that agreement, PepsiCo will look to paint the city “blue”, and turn Atlanta into their hometown for the two weeks leading up to the game.
