THE ASK
When NIL@UM reached out to us to help D1 athletes drive their social awareness, increase their following and secure brand partnerships, it was game on. After all, who better to help UM's student-athletes build their social brand than the student-professionals at Orange Umbrella? OU engaged in a 3-month pilot program, which turned into five months. And counting.
In collaboration with NIL@UM, we handpicked three standout student-athletes — one each from rowing, diving and track & field — who were ready to level up their personal brands. Then we got to work, digging into what made each of them tick. From there, we built content strategies and calendars tailored to their lives on and off the field (and water). Think Instagram Reels and TikToks that felt less like marketing and more like them. Authentic, scroll-stopping and crafted to resonate.
